"As far as I know, this album was released before Blur (1996 vs 1997). I've always felt that the chord progression at one point in Fell Off The Floor is way too similar to what Blur did with Song 2. Was Song 2 inspired by this? Does anyone else hear this? Give it a listen - do you think Damon Alba..."  [+]  Reply

""jackson cannery" is good, but the ben folds five debut album doesn't truly kick in until "philosophy" ("go ahead, you can laugh all you want, but i've got my philosophy"), a sort-of- parody of all the alternative artists taking themselves and their "angst" so serious. They only bring piamo (ben ..."  [+]  Reply

"Hot Chip put themselves on the indie pop dance-floor map with "and i was a boy from school" mining the darker aspects of electronic music on "the warning" by being more focused, all while being more pop friendly. It certainly shows in that track as well as "over and over" and "no fit state""  Reply

"An excellent album. Miles Davis really stretches his musical pallet in this funky masterpiece. Some superb tracks here, especially, rated x, and, Billy Preston. Good stuff."  Reply

"Magma is the J.R.R. Tolkien of the music world. Sung completely in Christian Vander's contructed "Kobaian" language, K.M.D. tells the tale of Nebehr Güdahtt's prophecy of a doomed earth, a warning that the people of earth do not heed right away. The music is a dark, progressive march of piano, ma..."  [+]  Reply

"Certainly better than, the song remains the same. Finally, Led Zeppelin release a live album worthy of their legendary status. Great performances, still, Moby dick, is as boring, as dull, and as tortuous as ever. The rest? Brilliant."  Reply

"One of The greatest jazz albums. An absolute masterpiece. It's right there with Moncur's Evolution, Mclean's Destination Out, Miles Smiles, Kind of Blue. If you are dabbling in postbop, and are looking to strike it rich on album satisfaction, you won't be disappointed."  Reply
