"Swooning in to rescue late 80's radio from dreck like late career Phil Collins, Michael Bolton and Roxette, Orbison's voice was a beautiful relief." Reply

"It's insane that this came out in 1996; it's from a different time and place entirely. It is a stunning debut album." Reply
"The decemberists' "castaways and cutouts" is a literary yarn of sea shanties and seaside romance gone awry full of parapets and petticoats. Literary alt-rock with a unique lyrical P.O.V. (vs all the other alt-rock out there) with songs like "here I dreamt I was an architect" (an architect who "bu..." [+] Reply

"This is the album that earned the groop the affectionate nickname of "moog terrorists" among fans. This is mostly pop music, composed of multi-layered analog synthesizers (far more melodic and harmonious than on previous work), combined with Marx-influenced and anarchist lyrics, Can-like bass rif..." "Ah yes the "Christian Years". This is generally regarded as a bad time in Bob Dylan's career. Musically the music became very dramatic, religious, overbearing, clean and kind of self-righteous. And this is the album where it all got kicked off. I'm not a big fan of the new thematic direction Dyla..." [+] Reply

"This defied all my expectations. I thought it was going to be 'generic King Gizzard material', but this record may be one of their best, if not their best album to date. Very consistent from start to finish. I can't even tell which songs are my favorites because every one of them is amazing!" Reply

"I'm finally starting to get this album. Full of different moods caused by electronic sounds, real instruments and a variety of interesting vocal samples. Quite cool album, feels like walking in a subway. Best songs are probably "Burning Wheel" and "Star"." Reply

"Oooh... I like it. Feist isn't happy. She's developed an edge. This album is reflective and retrospective. She's looking back on failure and conflict. It gives her music a darker edge, and the sounds have become more layered, more complex, more risky. Well done Feist. This may be your masterpiece." [+] Reply

"It's been a up and down experience for me with this album. I was really disappointed initially. After a few listens, there's a few good songs here and a really cool vibe, but it still doesn't feel like a Gorillaz album. Instead, it's a Gorillaz inspired mixtape." Reply
