"I gave all Styx albums are real beating back in the 80s. This one is no exception. However I have to say although it was their most successful in terms of chart position, I do not rate this album as highly as their predecessor. Side One is pretty solid, but I find the first couple of tracks on Si..."  [+]  Reply

"Side one starts out with a couple of downtempo, dreamy explorations, but the rest of the album is more energetic and toe-tapping, though of course modal and a bit abstract. Ron Carter is especially good on this album, constantly cooking underneath whatever else is happening. Great album from Mile..."  [+]  Reply

"C'mon. There's some classic/great tracks on here (message,Scorpio,it's nasty) but dreamin and you are, are just horrible. Stevie wonder they were not. Singles wise they were up there with the best of the 80s, album wise no."  Reply

"A cool beach. Hours after the rain and the world is still. The clouds are there and the place is quite empty because it's not the holiday. Dreaded November. There is reason to smile. 'Dreaming Of You' is holding onto hope with burnt hands. But it all doesn't matter. Miserable weather is what you ..."  [+]  Reply

"Arguably the best metal album released in the past 25 years. It can be quite impenetrable to some though with how nuts it is at times which is understandable. It's quite all over the place and yet somehow still manages to flow like the ocean in it's notion to play out as a single, carefully calcu..."  [+]  Reply

"Absolutely brilliant album, gives me chills every listen, a close second behind "The Mantle". Not quite as good but a pioneering work by the band, the album consists of some of their greatest work with ground-shattering tracks like "Limbs" or "Unlike the Waves"."  Reply
