"Superb debut album from Messrs Geffen and Wilson. Particular favourites are Blackfield, Lullaby, Summer, Cloudy Now and Hello." Reply
"Don't not be swayed by all of the negative and ambivalent ratings this deserves a much higher spot in these charts. Talented vocals, multifaceted dimensions, able to master the test of high volume levels. Absolutely bloody brilliant!" Reply
"There are very few living artists who could pull this off, but Cave delivers a collection of his finest songs (and some lesser known ones too) in such a breathtaking way. This album is stunning. "It's monolithic. A massive, unique sound (punk quartet plus orchestra) that mostly lives up to the ambition of the songs. It feels conceptual too, like a Grand Statement. I love some songs more than others but the good ones are seriously good. Pain Killer is in my Top 10 songs of the year so far." Reply
