"Musically 'smoother' and more refined, but equally as experimental and original as their debut 'Silver Apples Of The Moon', Laika create a form of "organic" electronica that is, for example, more authentic sounding than the music produced by one of their contemporaries, the overrated Moby. "Opening track, In The Morning I'll Be Better, is beautiful. Naturally it's downhill from there, but there are still some nice tracks to follow - my other highlights being My Emotions are Blinding and Please Don't Ruin This For Me."  Reply

"A good album. Pete Doherty is a great songwriter and this is an album displaying his talent. The only problem I really have with this album is that it is too long. Cutting a few songs from the album I think would make it a better album."  Reply

"The companion album to, want one, is a darker and more moody record. Kicking off with, Agnus Dei, an atmospheric track based on a Turkish prayer or something. The one you love, is probably the most conventional number here, while, peach trees, has that kind of sweet brooding that Wainwright does ..."  [+]  Reply

"A step up from his 2 previous albums both released in 1974 (Sweet Exorcist & Got to Find A Way) There's No Place .... explores the social divide in the U.S.A. in the 50's as well as gun violence (Billy Jack) and love (So In Love) one of Curtis's best love songs. Other great songs are Blue Monday ..."  [+]  Reply

"People hate this band because they listen to the rock & roll press. The press hated them...and they killed them. Get The Knack is a very good album. Too bad we were all told it wasn't by writers who didn't like the fact that they were inaccessible to them. This is that next great Cheap Trick albu..."  [+]  Reply
