"Fantastic album! Some bands sophomore albums aren't as good as their first but man oh man is this one excellent. Shuttered Room is quite the album but Reach the Beach is easily one of the best and most underrated of the 80s."  Reply

"Another effort from Roger with another bit of concept - appears to be some kinda protest about the government and big business through the eyes of Billy, a disabled Welsh boy. Roger isn't everyone's cup of tea and many won't like mixing politics so overtly with music but put it aside and you have..."  [+]  Reply

"The best sound collage of all time. A relatively modern piece of musique concrète that stretches your imagination of what you consider to be music. Against all odds, this record is extremely enjoyable and beautiful in its own highly eclectic way. I honestly don't care about any possible political..."  [+]  Reply

Punk funk at its best. Way better than bummed production wise, cale actually did a good job. Crazy ..."  [+]  Reply

"Really a great album. Terrific performances from all involved. I think what gets me about this album is that it is fun, beautiful, energetic and soulful at the same time. Can't say I can think of many albums that do it as well."  Reply
