"Compared to the EPs and singles that they released in the four years prior to this, it is a bit of a disappointment. I adored everything they did up until this album, I hadn't been as excited about a new band in a long time. The sound doesn't quite have the same magic of those first songs they wr..."  [+]  Reply

"Good hard rock/funk rock/psychedelic soul/electronic rock album. Best 10 songs average is 86,5/100 and the album can get good 85/100. Far and away best songs are "Black velveteen" and "Fly away" both 95/100, followed by "I belong to you" and "Can we find a reason?" both 85/100. All other songs in..."  [+]  Reply

"The League's pop instincts become a bit more apparent with Travelogue displaying considerable progress from the (sometimes) dull experimentation of Reproduction. The expanded version is essential for the Gary Glitter cover of Rock and Roll Part 2."  Reply

"I like the variety of instruments on top of hip hop beats. The bass and drums are from live players and they're great. Props to the funky bass and guitar, and jazzy sax. The album as a whole has quite a mash of genres: hip hop, trip hop, dance and so on, it held my interest and the music is so go..."  [+]  Reply

"Tackling any Swans album is generally no mean feat considering they can be 2 hour behemoths requiring a lifestyle choice to fully comprehend (not unlike a Tool album ). But here on Swans album release number 35 (!!) it feels different , because it is different. Coming in at a long yet manageable ..."  [+]  Reply

"Mark me among the minority - I don't object to Sinatra's monologue at all. In fact, I think it captures the time, place and performer perfectly - which is what a Live album is supposed to do, isn't it? The Count Basie orchestra sounds terrific and Sinatra is in good voice (although rough in a cou..."  [+]  Reply

"After the Party is the fifth album by the Menzingers. It was seen as a return to form after the disappointing Rented World. Fans really adore After the Party, but the songwriting is severely lacking in this set, particularly in Bad Catholics. The twee-nature of the lyrics and the overly-nostalic ..."  [+]  Reply
