"I love the cover artwork. I love the jangly guitars. I love Postcard Records." Reply
"Wonderful album, the band's best work imo. Check out "Prize" if you haven't heard it. Amazing track!" Reply
"The Messenger takes the jangly guitar that is Marr's signature and incorporates it with a slightly heavier sound. Or maybe it's just the modern production I am hearing. Either way, the result is a record that is unmistakably English. It's not The Smiths (nothing ever is) but it's worth a listen." Reply
"Solid album. Quite a bit of vitriol being spewed which is no bad thing when done well. Great groove (drumming is a highlight as always with the WS) and the addition of a "wappy" Hammond" Reply
"This is a B-sides album where there is good reason for the songs being B-sides. Not many good tracks to speak of here. Best tracks: Sam's Town (Abbey Road Version), The Ballad Of Michael Valentine, Tranquilize, and their cover of Romeo and Juliet." Reply
"I almost think I like this album as much as Fire of Love. Hard to call because they are pretty different, but this album is amazing. Nearly every song is a favorite. But damn, Fire of Love is a tough one to top." Reply
