"I just heard the most interesting track from the best of RR kirk titled " Variations on a theme from Hindemith"..really liked it, but the album is not on this website yet, so this was the only place that I could comment. Reminded me a little of "Blues on Bach" by the Modern Jazz Quartet, but of c..."  [+]  Reply

"Overall OK but underwhelming. I listened to this album a lot in 2011-2012 years and listening back now in 2019, I’m less impressed. Standouts for me include a signature Oberst sad sad song “Ladder Song”, the Rastafarian-influenced “One for You, One for Me”, and “Jejune Stars” which the band once ..."  [+]  Reply

"A hard album to put into words. Beautiful ?? Atmospheric ?? Hypnotic ?? The sense of underlying darkness ?? Whatever it may be this is a brilliant album. Just keeps growing on me and gets better every time. Prog rock on a heavier scale."  Reply

"Eurythmics debut was not released in the U.S. early in their career. This is an excellent post punk album which has a dreamy and psychedelic feel but with an edge to it. I think this would surprise a lot of people and this certainly deserves to be discovered."  Reply

"This is Mexican Ska at its best. It contains a themed set of songs about living in the biggest Latinamerican city; the album celebrates the idea of life as a carnival, and as a group of minstrels would do they sing tales of urban heroes from the slums and traditional neighborhoods -- called 'veci..."  [+]  Reply

"This is a slighty disappointing beach boys album. It's so short of material that it features a pathetic bit of studio banter between Brian Wilson and Mike Love, and a completely pointless drum solo from Dennis. But let's not get too down, this record also features the brilliant, fun, fun, fun, don'..."  [+]  Reply
