"Another great record by Chico, with no weak tracks. A few songs had been censored for years ("Cálice", a masterful hymn for freedom of speech, and the anti-dictatorship samba "Apesar de Você") and others come from his "Ópera do Malandro" (a version of "The Threepenny Opera"), including the highly..."  [+]  Reply

"Scots composer Anna Meredith has been involved in all manner of fun cross-disciplinary projects (including a musical flashmob on a motorway), and her style is similarly all over the shop. Varmints is a very swish example of what she can do. Not a massive fan of the vocals, but that quickly ceases..."  [+]  Reply

"No Joni Mitchell album is bad, still, this feels like a repetition of her all work. Smooth, well played&produced and samey. Not very challenging or groundbreaking. She keeps in her safe formats and ways to make music."  Reply

"During my scavenging quest through the years and the vast amount of albums listed in BEA, I'm still stunned to find these odd, but good bands that I have never heard of. This is one. The band has very good players, especially the guitarists. The sound is original, heavy, harsh, and relentless. Ch..."  [+]  Reply

"This album is a personal favorite of mine that I can repeat endlessly and NEVER get tired of it. It lives and breathes 1994, oozes of Grunge, and has one of the most creative voices of our time in frontman Vaden Todd Lewis. Every song is amazing. This album should be recognized, instead of ignored."  [+]  Reply
