"Sounds that you find scary at first, might become your dark friends one time. You start to learn how to interact and how to feel in their presence. I don't even know what halfaxa means, but it has become a close friend of mine. We spend a lot of time just sitting on a hill and watching the dark s..."  [+]  Reply

"Much more quiet than his VdGG songs. PH was good at determining which songs were more intimate and deserved to be released solo and which deserved the full group treatment and should be played by VdGG. Mostly guitar based album. Stands alone, this album sounds nothing like any other PH offering. ..."  [+]  Reply

"I'm not a big rap fan, so this record was instrumental in introducing me to the brilliance of ICE T. A really nice mix of social commentary and sophomoric humor blended with some genuinely ass kicking metal."  Reply

"Who knew that one of the year's best records would be a Taylor Swift cover album? Ryan Adams exceeds all expectations, and not only makes something better than what was already there, but elevates the material to something emotionally authentic, thoughtfully crafted, and surprisingly powerful. "This is about the best we could have gotten from a Justin Bieber. Is it perfect? No. Do I always care about what Bieber has to say? No. Is it a fine album in spite of everything? You better belieb it."  Reply

"This is quite possibly the greatest live album of all time. Every cut is worthwhile and actually adds something to the original studio cut. Once in a while, a live version becomes the definitive version over the studio version and that is the case for most of the cuts on this album."  Reply
