The last great OLP album, Spiritual Machines is an awesome record full of intensity and great music. I really like the artwork of this album too. I'm not sure that their concept and the whole thing with the talking tracks helps, but I don't think it harms too much either. The songs are all still great and well delivered.
The band's most creative release, and my third favourite OLP album overall, behind Naveed and Clumsy.

Interesting concept. Our Lady Peace swung for the fences, and wiffed. It's a little forced and awkward. Points for effort.

Not enough people have heard this album.
Our Lady Peace have released a lot of incredible albums, and it makes it really hard to choose any favourite. Each are concrete, and complete creations. Especially among their older albums, this band has managed to put together tracks that pull one's emotions. Key to this is Raine Maida, and in Spiritual Machines, he shows, like always, that he is masterful in his vocals, and consistently capable of inputting the emotions of the narrator into them. This album probably reveals the most insanity of the track's narrators, and Maida is able to make insanity sound musical... No small feat. Listen to this album if you enjoy alternative rock at all.
