I saw this at the record shop... why was I able to automatically buy new albums from nick cave and bon iver w/o even having heard them yet (I want to hear them for the first time on vinyl), but not even consider buying this?
why? they were among the best, it's a shame that I have to feel like they're just wasting my time, like having to listen to this a few times later today and then giving it another chance next week is a chore that I'm not looking forward to.

Indie Cindy might've been disappointing, but at least it didn't even try to sound like Pixies for the most part. This tries so hard to be a Pixies cover band that it fails spectacularly.
To be honest though, Um Chugga Lugga is so dumb it's fun. But hey, at least it doesn't change the fact that they released four masterpieces in my eyes.
Consistent, but very average. I'm indifferent with this one, compared to today's artists it is average but compared to the Pixies discography, it is a laughing stock.
No bother, also that throwback to Where Is My Mind just made me shiver, and it was not with joy.
Incredibly disappointing, and I wasn't even anticipating it. It's just a bunch of lame, vanilla pop songs - completely lacking the energy and creativity that made their old albums so great.

We’re lucky to have one of the great bands of all time still recording. Time will vindicate this and Indie Cindy. These are good albums not great don’t get me wrong but they have songs that will grow on you such as Head Carrier, Classic Masher and Um Chagga Lagga. I saw them perform live this summer and the songs they play from this album mix in quite well with their setlist.
