Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 64.3/100, a mean average of 62.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.9.

Not quite classic Pixies but still good and better than most other bands in 2016
We’re lucky to have one of the great bands of all time still recording. Time will vindicate this and Indie Cindy. These are good albums not great don’t get me wrong but they have songs that will grow on you such as Head Carrier, Classic Masher and Um Chagga Lagga. I saw them perform live this summer and the songs they play from this album mix in quite well with their setlist.
This seems like it could be an album that gets slightly better with more listens, but not really enough to justify the work
I liked Indie Cindy (kind of), but this is just so... eh...
UM CHAGGA LAGGA SHOULD'VE NEVER HAPPENED
Not too bad... Classic Masher is very good, and there are a couple of other good songs on it. I wouldn't say it's a "great" Pixies album but it's a tad better than a Frank Black solo record.
This album sucks and its so sad the once mighty band has sunk so low. Woof ! Total grease fire here
Consistent, but very average. I'm indifferent with this one, compared to today's artists it is average but compared to the Pixies discography, it is a laughing stock.
No bother, also that throwback to Where Is My Mind just made me shiver, and it was not with joy.
Indie Cindy might've been disappointing, but at least it didn't even try to sound like Pixies for the most part. This tries so hard to be a Pixies cover band that it fails spectacularly.
To be honest though, Um Chugga Lugga is so dumb it's fun. But hey, at least it doesn't change the fact that they released four masterpieces in my eyes.
Incredibly disappointing, and I wasn't even anticipating it. It's just a bunch of lame, vanilla pop songs - completely lacking the energy and creativity that made their old albums so great.
I actually like this album, but I can see how a Pixie fan would $hit all over this. There is so much garbage music produced today that this is quite listenable in comparison
