It's not good. But it isn't completely awful, at least as not as bad you might expect. First, I give them credit for not having a bunch of covers (Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" being the sole exception). So that's something. The first single, "Turn It Up" is definitely the one they wanted to push as a hit, but it's terrible. Things get even worse on the second track, a collab with Fat Joe & Jadakiss that is borderline unlistenable. However, it picks up after that with the 2nd single - which was an actual "hit" (relatively) - "Stars Are Blind". After the first two tracks, this mediocre song is a big improvement. From here on, everything is generic early-2000's teeny bop music (even though Paris was 25 at the time). Some leftover tracks from the likes of Dr. Luke and Kara DioGuardi. Most of the time, Paris does a speak-whisper-singing thing which is the type of thing someone does who can't sing but needs to sound passable. And passable she is. But not enough to make this something I would ever want to listen to again. Again, the first 2 tracks are terrible, but the rest is just mid at best. Not HOT.

actually quite good pop tunes throughout ! granted, it can get a bit cringy (who really thought the lyric "my heart beats like a drum when i hear you come" was a good idea on the cyndi lauper-esque ballad "heartbeat" ??) but for the most part it's a nice record spanning a wide variety of genres , paris being able to confidently handle them all with her (attempts at a sexy) nasal voice . it's self-centred and bratty, but endearing nonetheless.

I'll probably be criticised for including this album on this website, but it's honestly a sorely underappreciated, great pop album.

Ms Hilton effortlessly commands a huge variety of different genres on this album with considerable amounts of success. There's not a single bad track; all of them are quite catchy and fun. Lead single "Stars are Blind" charted well internationally because she, and her producers, were clearly trying something different (the reggae edge in 2006) and it worked.

All of the producers and writers may not have created intelligent or profound art, but the record is bratty and sexy and unashamedly itself, just like the woman behind the album. Paris' voice may have been tweaked quite a bit, but it's still good to listen to and fits perfectly with the pop on display.

My personal highlights are the piano-tinged rap ditty "Fightin Over Me", the powerful pop/rock track "Screwed" & the sublime "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy". Pop lovers everywhere, give it a go and you may just have a lot of fun.
