Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.4/100, a mean average of 63.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.8.

Turned It off after the 5th song as I realised I was wasting my life...beige indie!!!

I've heard it all before. Not a single moment of uniqueness breaks through on this album. I can't even remember how any of the songs go because all of them blend together into this dull and safe debut. And yeah, normally debuts are taken off the hook cause it is a first attempt but when you've got indie rock debuts like Vampire Weekend and Parachutes hell even the Arctic Monkeys', there is no excuse.
Yet, is it as bad and unlistenable as other have said? Not particularly
But, is it a lacklustre, emotionless and forgetful album I would never listen to again? Probably

In the end, s'alright. Wouldn't recommend it though.

So monotonous and boring. Watered down version of a million other bands.

Bored. So bored.
It's just another band that's too influenced by the bands that they play beside. These guy's are just the least interesting of them. Nothing memorable on any front. Guitar work is dry. Drumming is emotionless. Lyricism is dime a dozen, he just spouts off cliches about his "the kids not wanting to go to church, because they all wanna do drugs."

30/100. Better luck next time.

Nice moments here and there. Overall a good album but not an outstanding one. This band could either develop into something interesting or mediocre. It's worth a listen.

Best track: Loveblood
