Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.6/100, a mean average of 68.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.1.

A mixed bag sums this up, some real good tracks here I'd rate higher than on 'London Town' album although there are some poor no.s on here which let's this down as an album, better than 'Wild Life'.

Definitely messy, and one of Paul's weakest of this period (I'd still take it over Wild Life and possibly also Red Rose Speedway, though). As usual, even on a weaker Macca album like this one, there are still some great individual tracks. Getting Closer is a fun power pop tune, Denny Laine's Again and Again and Again is melodic heaven, and the skeletal synth-funk tune Arrow Through Me is some of McCartney's weirdest and most alluring work. I also like After the Ball through Love Awake. Not many songs I outright hate here, but definitely the lowest hit rate of any of the '70s bar those aforementioned '71 and '73 albums. It's worth mentioning, there was a great song from this period that was not included here - the B-side Daytime Nighttime Suffering which has an amazing melody, creative arrangement and a great vocal performance from Paul. Seek it out if you've not heard it!

This álbum has its mertits, but overall It shows how The Wings were dying as a project at the time, they would soon split-up.

I'm a Macca Fan however; this is his weakest Wings album.

A good solid album more cohesive than London Town. Old Siam Sir, Getting Closer, Arrow Thru Me, Spin It On, To You & Rockestra are all good songs but I especially like the last few tracks After The Ball...... Love Awake. Underrated and on top of that it was Wings final album.

Good album!! Some of the songs are great (Getting closer, Arrow through me) some weaker, but still not an average album just a bit inconsistent.

Kind of a clunker. Arrow Through Me is a classic, but geez, After the Ball and Spin It On have got to be two of the worst songs Paul ever wrote...
