This is OK with time. As usual the ratings are wack here but it's true that it's not great. Nice messages... corny or not,, right or wrong.... his heart's in the right place.

Upon his return from a 2004 trip to war-torn regions of Iraq, Israel, and Palestine, Michael Franti released both a documentary film based on his travels and Yell Fire!, his most politically charged album since his days with the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy. Yet this album isn't nearly as dark as you might expect from the subject matter that inspired it. Rather, in Franti's own words, these are "songs about connection to people, and songs about love and life." My favorite track here is the contemplative and affectionate "See You in the Light."
