Brilliant pop by Aimee Mann; this one makes my Top 25 of all time. Everything on here has great hooks and clever lyrics, but the peaks are the ascerbic ballads “You're With Stupid Now” and “Amateur,” and especially the upbeat and equally biting “All Over Now.” (“I could not convince or trust you/to pick up on my hints. Must you/leave your fingerprints/on everything I called mine?”) Arguably her best record.
So underrated. Meloncholy, beautiful lyrics and vocals. If not her best, then perhaps her best of the 90s. (Edited)
