Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.8/100, a mean average of 69.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.9.

Who would have thought that this record would be the beginning of one the best glam bands of the seventies. Humble beginnings.

If you ask me, (and you didn't - I know,) most of these songs border on unlistenable and the rest actually live there, (exceptions: "Mustang Ford" and a couple others,) but I'm giving it a good ol' American "C" for sounding like nothing else. Ever. (Thank God.) 75/100

This the first T.Rex album is full of folksy instruments and weird vicals. John Peel introduced Marc Bolan to an unsuspecting British audience in 1967/8 and Bolan never looked back. His songs changed over the following 10 years but that unique voice remained. Electric warrior is by far the best of the 12 studio albums he made but this is where it all started.
