Pretty good record overall. In the middle, after "Broke Me Up" and "Gang Bang Suicide", I was about to give up, thinking I had gone past the 3 good tracks this album would hold, but tracks like "Big Love", and "Back Out On The..." caught my attention again. Solid tracks thrown in here, but not fantastic as a whole effort. It shows that Kevin Drew can do just fine on his own, but listening to this record makes me miss the seven or so more instruments I usually hear behind his voice in the Broken Social Scene records. BSS fans will still dig it though, I'm sure. A lot stronger on the faster tracks than the slower tracks, to me.
Strong Tracks: "F-ked Up Kid", "Safety Bricks", "Lucky Ones", "Frightening Lives", "Big Love", "Back Out On The..."
Weaker Tracks: "Gang Bang Suicide", "Underneath the Skin"
A good sound, but none of the songs really hold my interest. Gets a bit repetitive after a while.

If you like the Broken Social Scene, there's a good chance you'll like this. Start with "lucky ones" or "f*cked up kid" to find out.
