In the killing fields after the great war, the medics placed the surviving soldiers onto gurneys. Occasionally limbs would need to be sawed off.

When I first heard this album, I thought it was boring. But something kept drawing me back. And with each return, something new clicked. The amazing thing about Low is that with each album, a subtle change to their approach leads to a unique product. Drums & Guns effectively manages to utilize loops while maintaining the band's minimalistic identity.

In this one Low stepped out of the comfort zone with Dave Fridmann producing and it worked really well.
