High enough, is one of the more enjoyable power ballads of the late eighties/early nineties. The rest is fun too.

Only previously hearing the hits "coming of age" and "high enough", i was prepared to hear a bunch of hard rock cheese from the rest of the album. Not so. Outside of a couple of useless cliches and chauvanism, this is a solid rock album even without those hits, containing many awesome rock band harmonies.
Debut album for the songwriters Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades, the start of a great songwriting team. This album has everything, guitars, sexual innuendos, even Ted Nugent! Tommy Shaw's best songs since Cornerstone. Favourites are High Enough, Come Again and Tell Me How You Want It.
