Perhaps the least well regarded of their first four albums, I have a soft spot for Porcupine, and I certainly like it more than Heaven Up Here.

Plus, ‘The Cutter’ was the best song on their first three albums, that is a belief that I will hold until I die.

While Ocean Rain gets all of the attention, Porcupine is not far off from being just as grand a statement for Echo & The Bunnymen. The title track is as epic as anything they ever released.

The first two tracks make you think this will be a great album... then it sort of stumbles after that

A great album from beginning to end - stand out tracks are 'The Cutter' and 'The Back of Love'

My entry point for this band. The Cutter is absolutely outstanding. The rest of the album is also impressive, with great guitar work.
