Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. This is a surprisingly good album. Definitely full of novelty songs, so I wouldn't want to listen to them very often, but not a bad one in the bunch. The first 4 tracks are all bangers, and then things start to drag a little on the flip side. Luckily, you have "Goin' Berzerk" to close things out with a real tear-jerker love song. "Ode To A Centipede" is the best track on the album. Like TrekkiELO says, seek out the originals and not the inferior remade CD.
Buyer beware, please seek out its 1982 vinyl LP and audio cassette as all CDs of this album are re-recordings by Buckner & Garcia in 1999 because Sony Music Entertainment would not give the duo access to their original master record tapes or release a proper SME/BMG compact disc themselves!
