This album is magnificent. Hands down his best in my opinion. Truly genre bending - I don't even know what this is. Jazz? Hip hop? Electronic? Post punk? All of them? Whatever it is, it's amazing. It's not often I listen to an album that seems like it is pushing the boundaries of music. 100/100 - must listen.

I prefer this to Secret of the the Ooze or whatever it's called. Certainly one that got better on subsequent listens. Still feels a little underdeveloped a not-insignificant part of the time. But well-produced and often well-written.

A talented artist makes a challenging album. I hesitate to ever say that someone is doing too much because that is reductive garbage in my opinion but some of my favorite parts of this record come from its most reserved moments. A lot of the songs are scattered in more than one sense of the word, for better or worse. Hits and misses throughout and a little something for everyone. I find it difficult to have any strong feelings on many of the songs.

I like better the second part of the album, probably it took a while for me to adapt to the combination of sounds.

Man Alive! by King Krule is a challenge. Sometimes jazz, sometimes hip hop, sometimes psychedelic, sometimes experimental. Not a really a pleasure to listen to and to me it was a bit too tough.
