Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. I don't even know where to begin with this one. Every time I listen to it, I like things I wasn't hot on the first time, and I dislike things that I thought I enjoyed the first time around. Because these songs are so lacking in dynamic range, half of them feel unfinished or aimless. Which is a shame, because there are some decent ideas and some perfectly pleasant songs. There are a couple solid highlights, but on the whole, one of the more frustrating listens of the year.
