Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.7/100, a mean average of 69.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.1.

Some great tracks, my favorite "Bobby, Don't You Think They Know?"
Rolling into his seventh decade Moz delivers perhaps his most musically adventurous record to date
Make no mistake with particular music sites dismissing this effort seemingly because they disagree with his views rather than the music itself. This is an artist flourishing.
There are some good songs on here. One of Morrissey's better solo efforts.
With his latest record, Morrissey proves he still has something to say. His album mixes a modern EDM-influenced orchestral rock sound with a very old-school singing style. The sound goes from The Cure-esque gothic rock to polished contemporary alternative. The first half is great, but the second half starts repeating ideas from the first half. The resulting album is interesting, to begin with, but grows increasingly dull and uninventive by the end. True Morrissey fans won't be disappointed with this album, but casual listeners will find it too strange to be able to enjoy it.
Morrissey’s rich vein of form continues apace with IANADOAC – possibly his best album since You Are The Quarry 16 years before.
I must confess I am still a big a fan of Low In High School and thought it was somewhat of an injustice it wasn't given more credit, granted, I can acknowledge it wasn't to everyone's taste, whereas this is better and should appeal to a broader audience as well.
The first few tracks made available were all good but there is much more here that is better. My favourite two tracks at the moment are Once I Saw The River Clean and My Hurling Days Are Done. River is possibly my favourite Morrissey song since 2004, with maybe Life Is A Pigsty being a possible exception. I must also mention What Kind Of People Live In These Houses and the title track, What Kind Of People has a wonderful vocal which reminds me of Why Don’t You Find Out For Yourself or Boxers perhaps.
Some of the vocal melodies are classic Morrissey and are a true delight, they follow on from California Son which was an album of faultless vocals, some of his very best in fact. But those songs were not originals of course, so for me, this is much more essential and really worth checking out for those Morrissey fans who may have drifted away since his 'comeback' in 2004.
Shock, Horror!! Morrissey has made a synth-pop album! He no longer wants them ceremonially burnt! And it’s good! Real good!
I know what the reviews are going to be: Morrissey is a spent force; he’s lost it; Morrissey is the DEVIL! Bullshit. This is his best since You Are The Quarry and a career highlight. Morrissey has got it, again.
