Solid if not great. Front-loaded as well. But the first side is classic Tom Petty at the height of his power.
Certainly a solid album. The Waiting might be their best song, and King's Road and Letting You Go are underrated in my opinion.

tom writes slick, lively and agreeable songs. listening to hard promises is easy and cheerful. but somehow something is missing to make this one "a big thing" for me - i can't really fall in love with it.
I thought this was an excellent album. Underrated

Love 80's Tom Petty in particular this and Long After Dark... Not a single weak track between both albums, this guy is the finest songwriter of his generation and for some reason just does not recieve recognition in the site, pitty...
