'Similarities', a collection of B-sides from Biffy Clyro's 2013 album 'Opposites', is a surprisingly solid album. This is a mix of the melancholic tunes from the first half of 'Opposites' and the more energetic tracks from the latter half of the album. The first half of 'Similarities' contains several gems, mainly 'Thunderhut' and 'Fingermonster', both polished and catchy songs. The songs in the second half blend into each other in terms of sound and rhythm, but 'Feverish' manages to stand out in particular. Most songs are pretty straightforward and nothing special; they sound like most alt-rock bands these days.
