Send Away The Tigers is a modern classic, released in 2007. The Manics successfully return to their hard alternative rock roots and yet again deliver several infectious tunes, most notably the seminal title track and the timeless Your Love Is Not Enough, a duet with Swedish singer Nina Persson. The album is easily in the top five albums the band has released so far and the best album they released between 2000 and 2010.

With an undying power and multilayered melodies, Rooney sets out to be Weezer of the new millennia. Their debut album is a largely successful attempt at reinventing the catchy, radio-friendly power-pop that Weezer has made famous on their Blue and Green albums, in particular. Sure, lots of the songs on the record sound very similar, like the band only wrote one melody and changed the lyrics, but the catchy guitar riffs and sing-along choruses still make the album absolutely fantastic.

Here it is: the pride and glory of Irish rock band The Cranberries. Headed by the timeless hit single Zombie, the band's second album is a lovely mix of all the things that made their debut so good. But No Need to Argue is also much more than that. It is true to the spirit of The Cranberries - down to the deeply depressive, dark lyrics and the unique vocals of lead singer Dolores O'Riordan.

After the amazing album that was Everything Must Go, comes the equally fantastic This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours, one of my all-time favorite albums. On the record, The Manics continue to evolve and reshape their unique sound, this time going for a more melodic and tender approach, leaving the distorted guitars behind. Lyrically, the band has already reached its peak, but in terms of crafting melodies and utilizing varied instrumentation, this album is the Manics at their best.

AM is the seminal fifth album by Arctic Monkeys, the UK based alternative rock band. Many consider it one of the greatest albums released during the 2010s, and those could not be more right. The album is a far cry from the garage-rock influenced early albums the band released and instead listeners treated with 12 largely magnificent tracks about love, parties and depressing moments in people's lives. The lyrics are deep but simple, the instrumentation is catchy and the melodies are instantly recognizable. The heap of standout singles helps lift this album to new heights. Lyrically and, most importantly, sonically, this is the best album the band has released so far.
