I feel like a lot of these songs end too soon, like they don't have a climax. Which is a real shame because there's tons of cool ideas here, they just don't seem to go anywhere aside from Sanctuary, Run and Gimme Love which are amazing standouts and you can see why they were released as singles. I think Ew works really great as an opener just getting you excited. Then track like Tick Tock, Nitrous and Pretty Boy are pretty nice jam tracks but lack real substance along with most of the record. Then there's cuts like Like You Do, it is so beautiful and gets you pretty excited but it just sort of stops in the chorus without having a satisfying direction or resolve. There's not like a refrain at the end either it just sort of exists. So yeah this album is conflicting but I'll probably listen to it a ton anyway.
