Left & Leaving was the first truly Weakerthans album. Taking influence from folk, punk and contemporary indie, frontman John K. Samson delivers some of the most heartfelt and poetic lyricism you could ever expect out of a rock band.
I cannot believe that I am the first one to comment on this album! If you have any interest in 2000s Indie folk rock then check it out. The best lyrics ever combined with music that is rocking, emotional and suprising at the same time. This band saved my life and warmed my heart a lot of times. 2004 I read in a magazin that this band should have had the same status that coldplay had at these times. Completely true back then.
