Before I was so captivated by a chart of fellow BEA.com contributor, LadyGodiva, (Chart named: "Smell Of Female), I was about to remark about this particular effort by British folk singer, Kate Rusby! She is a smooth and dynamic singer in the lovely tradition of Sandy Dennis which becomes apparent on this debut release. Performing a mix of traditionals and self-penned compositions, Rusby gives each performance an authenticity and emotional push that will stay with the listener long after the album has concluded. Such a great find for this reviewer! Kudos to other BEA contributors who had already discovered her talents.
