Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 67.7/100, a mean average of 67.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.6.

The first album without John Frusciante since One Hot Minute, I'm With You proved to be a faithful continuation of the classic lineup's sound, whilst simultaneously introducing new shapes and sounds, inspired in part by Flea and Josh's trip to Ethiopia. And like its predecessors, I'm With You consists of a lighter sound, and contains classics like Brendan's Death Song, the then-anticipated debut single The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie, and the powerful whirlwind-of-a-song that is Police Station.

Yes it's not their best work, but even without Frusciante it's still a good album. My highlights are Look Around (Criminally underrated Chilis song in my opinion) and Did I Let You Know. Surprised at the low rating.

A fine album, although it displays a very different side of the Peppers. But not a bad record.

Really The Peppers are really genius when it comes to adapting; not often I see a band handle the fact that they're not really relevant anymore, they've all changed a lot, and even that the line up has changed so well. When you think they're really gone now, they come back with something that makes you say "that's not that bad at all".

Special album for me. It was the newest RHCP album when I became a fan and I was able to share it with people close to me. Recently, I've given it a couple more spins and it seems to be aging well.

I agree with previous comments that this record lacks a bit of direction. RHCP also rely a bit too heavily on previous ideas that worked well with John Frusciante but lack that spark of originality and flat out soul. Speaking of flat, I've never been a fan of the flat drum sound here although there are a few really great drum tracks from Chad Smith here.

Overall a solid album where the Chili Peppers went pretty pop and one worth listening to if you've ever been into their sound.

Underrated album. It has good basslines and melodies. The highlights for me are Goodbye Hooray, Police Station and Ethiopia.

This album is actually very good, it has a solid track list and good composition as well. All it lacks is Frusciante.

The next chapter for the group and its nice to hear a different sound that keeps them interesting. It has a lot of good songs maybe not as many standout as in the past but its a nice listen.
