I avoided this for some time. They are a favourite band of mine and I've seen them probably more than anyone but after Gerry left they wouldn't really be the same band would they? A cheap vinyl record said buy me. So I did and it sounds pretty much as I'd expected. Maybe it's a grower of sorts but like the last album (that I really enjoyed) the production is a little lifeless. There are a few good tracks that will make me come back I guess.
Sounds like Grateful Dead with English accents.

I've pre-ordered this and I am so eager for it to be released. As the first album since Gerry left, will it be any good? Will it be exactly 6 Norman songs and 6 Raymond songs or will they mix it up a bit? Will they let either of the other two accomplished song writers in the band contribute a track? The four songs that have been released on streaming before it is released are a bit of a mixed bag. I'm More Inclined is a catchy Norman classic and Everything is Falling Apart is a stone cold classic, a return to rocky Raymond from the mid 90's after years of dull ballads. But I was underwhelmed by Home and The Sun Won't Shine On Me. Oh well, we'll see how they sound in context of the whole album.
