Manager: “ Hey Gordy what have you got planned for the Bring On The Night concerts” ?
Sting: “ I’m going to show off my jazz chops and play prolonged inprov sections intermixed with Police interpretations and choose the the most bland tracks from my catalogue , then I’m going to release this whole self indulgent mess as a boring double album and sit back and watch the royalties pour in “
Manager: “But what about the fans Mr Sumner ?”
Sting: “ Huh , that’s the brilliant part , the jokes on them “ ( lights a Cuban Cigar lies back and smiles)
