Mercury Falling is one of Sting's weaker works. The set of songs aren't memorable and most feed into the perception that Sting is pretentious.
Singles like I'm So Happy I Cant Stop Crying are corny.
Hung My Head and Hounds of Winter are good songs.
I generally skip over this album in the Sting catalogue

Only just good album. Best 10 songs average is 79,7/100 and the album can get good 80/100. Bit too melancholy for me. Best songs are "I'm so happy..." 90/100, followed by "I hung my head", "Let your soul..." and "You still touch me" all 80/100. All other songs average 65-75/100.
Genre: Pop Rock
No life in this. Dull as dishwater. Very disappointed. But on saying that I was amazingly surprised that 'I Hung My Head' is his composition. Johnny Cash's version is 1000 times better and done it way more justice (Edited)
Same old Sting, nothing new here.
