Fifties singer Jack Jones was a notable ballad singer in the day, along the lines but never nearing the pinnacles of Sinatra, Martin, Bennett et al. He will probably be most remembered as the singer of the T.V. theme song for the show "The Love Boat" in the seventies. Still going strong in the nineties, Jones attempted to keep abreast of the times with the release of this album entitled "New Jack Swing" in 1997. Released on Honest Records/Linn Records (Cat #: HON CD 5001) this find the singer covering pop hits and spicing up standards with new jack swing beats. He even updates "The Love Boat" theme.
