Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 56.7/100, a mean average of 54.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 54.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.5.

One of the most dreadful record in my collection. It doesn't sound like Coldplay anymore, it's just Chris Martin singing over beats, vocoder and fake choir. The guests are even more embarrassing: from Jakob Collier to Selena Gomez, without mentions the k-pop band.

Very average

Não é bom, mas o final é excelente!
A very disappointing record in my opinion, to me most of the songs are Chris Martin singing over a load of lackluster computerized beats and it really just doesn't sound like a band at all to me.

Coldplay's business plan nowadays: releasing always even more duller and just radio-friendly pop albums that work for pleasing stadium crowds and every once in a while dropping an album without big promotion that shows enough musicial craftmanship to keep Oldplay from entirely writing the band off (eg. Ghost Stories and Everyday Life). This whole "we're not touring for Climate Crisis reasons" thing was just a greenwashing marketing gag to jump on Gretas bandwaggon - it was so clear that they have concert climate crisis figured out just in time for an album that requires stadium touring (the real reason for not touring was that Everyday Life musically woulnd't have worked in stadiums). So yeah, this album is as dull as expected. Colortura is the only decent to good song on here. And what's with all the fillers???
More like a Stadium Album, Coloratura is Amazing
It doesn’t even remotely feel like Coldplay anymore, except Human Heart and Coloratura which are genuinely cool.

It’s not terrible but it’s not that good
