the character "Lydia Lunch" itself is the genre of this album. She kinda mocks soft jazz music injecting no-wave sounds, free-moaning blows, and lyrics that subvert the typical male/female game. This grimace is at the same time a gloomy nightmare, I especially like when she adopts that sort of "spoken singing", slutty version of "Pierrot Lunaire" Sprechgesang. A little jewel!
