Thao's got one of the most remarkable, fragile voices in the indie-pop industry. This is one of her most remarkable albums, but certainly not too fragile. It rollicks, uplifts, breaks down, and explodes with percussion and guitar fueled joy. Every moment of sadness is undercut by Thao's coy, pillow-soft timbre and sparkling instrumentation. This album is so good, it cures depressions.
