Raw yet polished garage rock and roll. Most tracks quite short but with a lot packed into them. You can hear shades of 'Stooges' & 'The Cramps' throughout . Wide range of styles but all still within the same umbrella. Solid and steady right through.

All'apparenza brutti, sporchi e cattivi ( nessuna delle tre cose, in realtà ), i Blues Explosion di Jon Spencer suonano una musica che è blues scorticato nell'anima e rock abrasivo nel corpo, omaggiante alla loro maniera ( ruvida e senza l'utilizzo del basso ) i maestri del genere, siano il Rufus Thomas pure presente nel brano il cui titolo rimanda alle sue canzoni ( "Chicken dog" ) o i Rolling Stones dei primi anni settanta ( "Wail" o "Can't stop" nella forma, oppure la conclusiva "Sticky", che è ciò che esprime il titolo… ). Canzoni incuranti della bella forma eppure non prive di un loro potenziale almeno un minimo commerciale.
