I've been to a bunch of P-Funk shows and I've been listening to their albums and studying the album covers for many, many years. This is my favorite P-Funk album. Come for the Sly Stone cameo, stay for the funk that just keeps cooking, start to finish. "Hey mon, I'd just rather go dancing than to sit and have a meeting about the problems..."
The song at the end does get pretty filthy, now. All part of the joke...they had a big fight over the censorship of the very raunchy original album cover and some other legal things, who knows, and the album disappeared--you really could NOT find it for years...I know, I had lost my copy and I was looking. A P-Funk treasure, this one.
