Gigante!
This is one of the most unknown, and underrated Albums of all time or atleast that passed through my ears. It does help if you understand Spanish, but definitely not a deal-breaker for me. Every song is very good with the occasional masterclass from young and to be future superstar artist.
She was the first female songwriter to have a successful solo career playing indie rock in 1997. Her first album is a melodic work that reminds me of Tori Amos or Fiona Apple. But in Bueninvento you have something else. Every single sound in the album is carefully chosen. The lyrics have more to do with finding ease, but they still have some of the rage she had while she participated in her ska band Tijuana No!
If you want to start somewhere start with Sueño de sombras, the last song of the album and move to Siempre en mi mente.
