One of Guy Clark s finest records. Clark is a top tier songwriter. This one holds back on the production, keeping it light and acoustic, with a few touches to keep the beat. Clark re-records The Randall Knife from an earlier album here. The Cape is co-credited to his wife, Susanna, who was also an artist and songwriter. You can learn more about the Clarks and fellow songwriter Townes Van Zandt in the documentary Without Getting Killed or Caught.
