Whoa, a great LP from Van the Man.. Listen Listen to The Lion!
Good album.
A cross between Astral Weeks and Moondance, ultimately its not as good as either of those records but it comes close. There are some real gems here from the catchy Gypsy and Redwood Tree to the epic Listen To The Lion and Almost Independence Day.

Better than "Street Choir" and "Tupelo Honey", but not up to "Moondance" quality. Great album.
Wonderful record. The songwriting is on absolute top here.

The fourth of Van Morrison's epic albums. Sadly, he peaked at this point and never again approached these heights.

Fifth great album in a row continues a four year streak of genius. Would have fared better if the closing track had been omitted but everything else is top material and top performance.
An essential album, with wonderful songs. The soul of "Jackie Wilson". The tour of force of "Listen To The Lion". Incredible vocal and band.
