Easing off on the psychedelia that was on 'Lost Chord'. This is a bit more laid back with a bit of a paisley feel at times. Still a good album. The Moody's seem to be a bit overlooked as an fabled band of the 60's. (Edited)

Probably my least favorite of the original seven, but that is a function of the consistent greatness of that best-ever-run-of-seven-consecutive-albums-in-the-history-of-music. Still a solid 90/100. (Edited)
An ambitious follow-up to 'In Search of the Lost Chord', but it lacks the mystique and coordination of its predecessor. Their are interesting moments on both sides of the LP, but I find it to be outdone by the Moodies' two prior releases, as well as their next album, 'To Our Children's Children's Children', released later that same year (1969).
Casual Moodies listeners can enjoy 'Never Comes the Day' and move along without missing much.
I bought On The Threshold Of A Dream by Moody Blues on 24/07/1986 from Record & Tape Exchange on LP/MP3 for £0.30 The version I have is on the record label Deram catalogue number SML 1035 It entered the UK charts on 03/05/1969 and got to number 1 spending a total of 73 weeks on the chart.

A diffcult album to fatbhim as there are so many styles and tones throughout. The last 3 show a consistent tone and beautiful sound to get yourself immersed to MB
