89.333* This is more rock than the debut but you can also hear the start of the transitional sound that was to be Zep III. With Led Zep, it's hard to pick a favorite album. Seems to go in cycles. This was once my fave due to the overall rock nature of it. Now I prefer others but that doesn't lessen how great this album is. 05/26

86.11 One of, if not the best studio album the Stones have released. Contains some of their best ever tracks. Golden age for them.

79.62* Oozes of the sound of a band playing a mid afternoon set at Woodstock. (Not that they did.) Great English Folk Rock. Sandy Denny is the vocalist queen of folk rock. Outstanding 06/25

79.444* It's amazing that this is deemed runt of the litter in regards to all studio albums which feature Jim. Yes, it does rank last in that category as all others are better, but this is still a great album with some great songs. It shows the caliber of how great a band the Doors were. 01/26

77.90* Great debut. In my opinion, these guys are the Kings of Harmony. Couple of tracks are the predominant standouts. Some filler. They got better with 'Deja Vu'. 06/25

77.235* I love The Beatles. This is good with some of their best songs on it, but I don't understand how this is heralded as their best album. They've so many other albums that fuck all over this. Good album, just massively over rated. 03/26

76.956* An enjoyable listen. Does have its highs and lows. Bit mild in rock terms compared to their other albums but worthy of pulling out for a listen every now and then. 04/26

76.16* I find the interchangeable personnel that happened in the late 60's - early 70's that created short lived bands fascinating. Clapton, Steve Winwood & Ginger Baker being the prominent figures on this. Most tracks written by Steve Winwood except the last track which was written by Ginger Baker. It's 15 minutes long and has many sections of drum solos. How surprising. I also find it fascinating that in the early 80's when I was a record buying fanatic, this was always labelled in the Heavy Metal section. Metal it ain't. But it is decent 04/25

72.30 Easing off on the psychedelia that was on 'Lost Chord'. This is a bit more laid back with a bit of a paisley feel at times. Still a good album. The Moody's seem to be a bit overlooked as an fabled band of the 60's. Perfect music to accompany an afternoon at a festival lying on a blanket in a field after having a smoke 11/24
