Alt rock made simple. The basic element of their song structure is a bit of a piss take but they do it so well they outshine many other bands of that era by producing better songs. Enjoyable album which deserves more credit than it gets. Good tracks right through
Underrated album.
Very solid alternative 90's rock effort from a new band. Every song is good on this album, and I can happily listen to this any time.

Good alternative rock album. Best 10 songs average is 82,3/100 and the album can get good 80/100. Best songs are "Feather Pluckn", "Lump" and "Dune Buggy" all 85/100. All other songs average/only just good 70-80/100.
These guys seem to have such a playful attitude towards making music that words fail me in trying to grasp the essence of it. Just their choice of instruments oozes good-will and playfulness: basitars and guitbasses. :)
Playfulness in general - and in music creation particularly - is so incredibly rare these modern times, that that alone is a reason enough to put these guys on the pedestal.
All-around good feel record that still manages to make some valid points about life - and kittens! At points it's just down-right funny as hell. Some fillers for sure, but I suppose that goes with the chosen territory.
We all think we know this album and/or band but do we really?

I actually think 'Stranger' and 'Body' are very cool tracks. The second album was really awful, though, if I remember right.

Overall a little disappointing, although the hits Lump and Peaches are obvious favorites, and We Are Not Going To Make It both made me laugh and I really liked it musically.

These boys were drilled into my head in 96... Catchy, but pretty limited. Take them for what they are.
How can you not like the catchyness, the simpleness, and just the band having fun.
