Perfectly mediocre. This is certaintly a Jack White album. If you like his sound, you'll like this. If you read my comment on the J Mascis album, Jack White is the anti-hero to my J Mascis. J Mascis could put out an album of children's songs and I'd still enjoy it. Jack White could put out a Beatles cover album and I'd still think it was average... I just don' don't like his sound outside of early white stripes.
Best album of 2024
Some fantastically catchy tracks on here, and a lot of interesting guitar tones. That's How I'm Feeling is remarkable for how simplistic it is, while still being such an effective head banger. I miss the Stripes, but when Jack White rocks, he really rocks.
Definitely his best album post stripes.
